The New Year’s Resolution UPdate!

Also a re-attempt at the Alphabet Superset. Also also, my little creative Art-ober idea.

For those of you that check my site regularly, you may very well be aware of my New Year’s Resolution to start making a video game this year (not necessarily finish it - just start it). I guess I technically have started it, but I could start it more!

So, in an attempt to get some more smaller assets completed, and also in an attempt to redeem myself with the Alphabet Superset challenge, I am going to be spending the month of October chipping away at my video game idea!

I will be making posts on Instagram, BUT I promised myself to take weekends off from this challenge, so don’t expect posts on Saturdays and Sundays!

I can’t wait to tease you all with little no-context assets for my game idea!

2024 Convention Schedule!!!

Here’s a list of my CONFIRMED shows for this year:

Toronto Game Expo - Saturday November 16 - Queen Elizabeth Building, 180 Princes' Blvd, Toronto, ON, Exhibition Place

I am also hoping to do the Anime North Halloween event this year once those appllications become available!

You can always support me on Etsy if you are unable to make it to one of my shows! Click the previous sentence to be redirected to my Etsy shop!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support both in-person and online!

I’m working on an animation contest entry!

Honestly, I don’t want to say much about this yet, but I am excited that I got selected from the applicants to create an animation!

My inactivity is partially due to working on my submission for this animation contest…or showcase I suppose. It’s a small/short animation, but I am happy to be overthinking and over-analyzing things for every single frame!

Just thought I’d post a little blurb about this, as vague as it is, in case anyone’s been curious about my non-day-job endeavours!

A little tribute to the Former day job

Ending on a Positive note

Initially created in October 2023, I decided to do a positive, chill lofi aesthetic piece of art of the storefront of my workplace and added background music that I composed myself.

I’m re-sharing the piece now as a tribute to the workplace that is soon to no longer exist.

Retail jobs generally have a lot of ups and downs and a lot of emotions come into play with certain individuals, but at the end of the day there is always room for positive vibes no matter how stressful a workday is. This piece is a tribute to the more relaxed, positive, morale-boosting days that can be easily forgotten about in the midst of all the stresses that come with day-to-day retail life, and especially during the stress and mixed emotions that come with closing a store and coming to terms with your job coming to a definite end.

Please enjoy the subtle animations and short instrumental background music. Sometimes it’s good to just get lost in the moment.

Here’s to the last four and a half years of my time at the “Very Smart” store!
